Who are we ?
GLEM - Groupe Lyonnais d'Etudes Médicales

A short historic flashback
The GLEM is an association founded on law of the 1st July 1901 (non-profit association). Its office is in Lyon, at 49 rue Mercière, in the historic centre of the city.
GLEM was created in 1965 by doctor Paul Nogier (1908-1996), medical doctor originated from Lyon, who dedicated his life to the discovery and the development of the method he called auriculotherapy.
Surrounded by his students and colleagues, Paul Nogier continuously moved forward to spread this medical approach worldwide, thanks to organization of numerous seminars and congresses. Some of his students, like René Bourdiol or René Kovacs, developed later their own teaching structures to spread the method of auriculotherapy.
When Paul Nogier passed away, his closest students continued to substantiate his first approaches in time of upcoming modern science of evidence based medicine. All of them, leaning upon scientific bases, devoted themselves to fertilize this tremendous heritage of the knowledge accumulated during the years of work of Paul Nogier. The GLEM, whose todays president is Raphaël Nogier, continues the ideas and works of Paul Nogier supported by modern neurophysiology.
